Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA)-Standards sind äußerst vielseitig, da sie für organische GPC/SEC mit einer Vielzahl von Eluenten mittlerer Polarität wie Tetrahydrofuran, Toluol, Methylethylketon und Ethylacetat verwendet werden können. Sie funktionieren auch gut mit polareren organischen Eluenten, beispielsweise Dimethylformamid, Dimethylacetamid und Hexafluorisopropanol. Die Molekulargewichte werden so ausgewählt, dass äquidistante Kalibrierungspunkte für eine höhere Genauigkeit bereitgestellt werden. Individuelle Molekulargewichtsstandards sind von 102 bis 15.000.000 Da verfügbar, mit Optionen sowohl für Standards mit enger als auch breiter Molmassenverteilung. Es sind auch praktische Kalibrierungskits erhältlich, darunter herkömmliche Kits, InfinityLab EasiVial-Kits und ReadyCal-Kits.
