Silylierungsmittel MSHFBA
MSHFBA wird entweder allein oder in Kombination mit einem Katalysator (TMCS, TSIM) oder einem anderen Silylierungsmitteln mit oder ohne Lösemittel verwendet. Das Nebenprodukt N-Methylheptafluorbuttersäureamid hat eine geringere Retention als das Silylierungsmittel. Besonders günstig für die Flammenionisationsdetektion aufgrund des großen Verhältnisses von Fluor zu Silizium von 7:1, da der Abbau des MSHFBA-Überschusses kein SiO₂, sondern flüchtige, nicht korrosive Siliziumverbindungen erzeugt.
