This biocide-free cellulose sponge is moistened with neutralization buffer diluent to facilitate sampling. It only affects the viability of the microorganisms for Salmonella and E. coli bacteria after 48 hours of refrigerated storage and for Listeria only after 72 hours. The scope of delivery includes two one-size-fits-all polyethylene gloves, which increase safety and make germ-free handling easier. The cellulose material is robust, absorbent and can absorb and release the sample without dripping unnecessarily. The sponge comes with a 5" x 9" 3M™ sample bag with a capacity of 0.89L/30oz that allows the sponge to be safely and conveniently transported to the laboratory. The bag is double laminated to ensure stability, puncture resistance and tear resistance during mixing and transport. Cable ties ensure a secure closure and the blue top edge and large white writable area make the bag easy to identify.
