Backpressure Gas Regulator Capillary GC inlet systems have backpressure regulators to maintain a constant upstream pressure and rapidly respond to catastrophic leaks. The 0–60 psig (0-414 kPa) operating range is sufficient to operate a 105 m, 0.25 mm ID column at its optimum flow rate.
