It was specially developed for the separation of targeted nonpolar and polar compounds, including hydrocarbons (natural gas, refinery gas, ethylene, propylene, all C1–C3 isomers); CO2, methane, air/CO, and water; polar solvents (methanol, acetone, methylene chloride, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, esters); and sulfur compounds (H2S, mercaptans, COS).

VF-1701ms 30mx0,25mmx0,25um +5m EZ-Guard. EZ-Guard columns combine an Agilent J&W VF GC column with a built-in guard column. The first 5 or 10 m section of the column (depending on the configuration) is not coated with stationary phase, but has been deactivated. Eliminating the column connection between the guard and analytical sections ensures 100% leak-free performance.
