Intuvo Premium Polysiloxane Columns Agilent J&W Premium Polysiloxane Intuvo GC columns (compatible only with the Intuvo 9000 GC System) are most common stationary phases. Polysiloxanes are stable, robust, and versatile, and are available in the greatest variety. Standard polysiloxanes are characterized by the repeating siloxane backbone. Each silicon atom contains two functional groups; the type and percent level of substitution of the groups distinguish each stationary phase and its properties.

DB-HeavyWAX Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) is a high-temperature WAX column that can operate at higher maximum temperatures (280 °C isothermal, 290 °C programmed) than standard WAX columns. This allows for shorter run times, providing a lower cost per test. The column provides retention time stability and increased column lifetime, even when used at maximum operating temperature. The ability to bake out the column at the end of the analysis reduces sample matrix effects, limiting carryover and the risk of ghost peaks. The column also exhibits very low bleed, which results in better signal-to-noise ratios and lower detection limits (LOD), especially for late-eluting compounds.
