3M™ Tartan™ Filament Tape 8954 is a standard lengthwise and crosswise reinforced filament tape with a ScotchPro™ polypropylene film backing and a synthetic rubber adhesive. The fiberglass reinforcement in the longitudinal direction significantly increases the tear resistance of the tape. The adhesive tape is particularly suitable for bonding heavy cardboard boxes and as a securing and bundling tape. After bonding, the adhesive tape remains functional at all temperatures to which a package is usually exposed during transport and storage. It is ideal for dangerous goods transport packaging and is characterized by its high breaking load (1350 N / 100mm) and elongation at break (10). The band also has high abrasion resistance and moisture resistance. Tape color: transparent.
