Cost effective as only oil is picked up and not the water. The oil absorbing fleece consists of inert synthetic fibres, with 'HP' products consisting of polypropylene and polyester. The light and dust-free product has a high absorption capacity and reduces the disposal effort to a minimum. 3M™ Hydrated Sponge with 10ml Letheen Broth and Gloves HS10LET2G. Ready-to-use, moistened sponges for easy and convenient sampling of environmental and food samples.
This biocide-free cellulose sponge is moistened with Letheen broth dilution to facilitate sampling. The biocide-free cellulose sponge only affects the viability of the microorganisms for Salmonella and E. coli bacteria after 48 hours of refrigerated storage and for Listeria only after 72 hours. The scope of delivery includes two one-size-fits-all polyethylene gloves, which increase safety and make germ-free handling easier. The cellulose material is robust, absorbent and can absorb and release the sample without dripping unnecessarily. The sponge comes with a 5" x 9" 3M™ sample bag with a capacity of 0.89L/30oz that allows the sponge to be safely and conveniently transported to the laboratory. The bag is double laminated to ensure stability, puncture resistance and tear resistance during mixing and transport. Cable ties ensure a secure closure and the blue top edge and large white writable area make the bag easy to identify. The writable area is ideal for documenting test data, sample collection date, time and other information, facilitating accurate record keeping and easy identification. Sample bags and sponges are decontaminated using gamma radiation to preserve the viability of the organisms and ensure a long shelf life.
