The crucible can also be sealed without using an O-ring (self-generated atmosphere). Can be used as a medium-pressure crucible (sealed with a lid, for DSC measurements) or as an open pan (for DSC or TGA measurements). The medium-pressure crucible with pin can only be used for DSC measurements, the pan can also be used without lid. When sealed with a lid and special seal, it is a single use crucible and cannot be regenerated. It withstands a maximum pressure of 2 MPa. The medium-pressure crucible is the perfect tool for samples containing liquids such as water, for temperatures above boiling point.
